Focus – v. 32 – Jesus was so focused he could not break for food just then. Have you ever passed up a meal just to focus on a Godly task?

Insight – v. 39 – First the Samaritan woman learned it, and later the people of the town. Jesus had an insight into their lives. He knew what they had done and what they needed.

Evangelizing – v. 41 It was his word that he gave. It was his word that inspired the hearts of the people to turn to God.

Labor – v 38 – Jesus’s labor was that of rescuing the perishing. It is still his work if we will let him labor in our lives.

Divine – v. 42 – They came, they heard, and they knew. They were listening to the Savior of the World. Have you come to this conclusion about Jesus?

Exemplary story: During the Midwest drought of 2012 some of my relatives had a great concern about their harvest. By mid-summer they were concerned that they would have to buy hay to feed the livestock. The drought lingered into August. Then in late September the rains began to fall. In late October they made the fourth cutting from the hayfield, and their total yield was off by only a few bales. So we must follow Jesus’s example and labor on even in  hard times, and from God’s field of souls will come a good harvest in the end.
