I Corinthians 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Prayer: O God, may we remember the sacrifice of your son on this Lord’s day.
Thought for the day: Communion is more than a ritual; it is a reenactment with a message.

Luke 21: 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Prayer: Jesus, we believe you will return.
Thought for the day: When Jesus returns, he shall return as King.

Tuesday, April 28

I Cor. 15:51-52 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed – In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will all be changed.
Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, prepare us to meet your son.
Thought for the day: The end of days is only the beginning.

I Thess. 5:1-2 Now brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
Prayer: Jesus, may we be ever watchful.
Thought for the day: The authors who examine the ancient prophesies will be as surprised as you in the end.

Thursday, April 30

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for saving us that we might live with you.
Thought for the day: The second coming happens just once.

Friday, May 1

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
Prayer: O Lord, may we prepare to forsake all to enter your presence.
Thought for the day: Heaven will need no baggage claim area.

Revelation 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
Prayer: Jesus, you are Lord.
Thought for the day: From God we cannot hide.
