Galatians 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Prayer: Jesus, may we walk in step with your Holy Spirit.
Thought for the day: Every soldier knows how to march in step.

Monday, May 25

John 14: 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all thing and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Prayer: Jesus, may your Spirit enable us to find your word in the words your disciples recalled.
Thought for the day: Like other memory functions our memory of the sacred requires the right cue.

Tuesday, May 26

Proverbs 3:5, 6 Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Prayer: O God, we would trust in you allowing you to make the pathway straight.
Thought for the day: Even if your road is straight, your car must be aligned to benefit from the straight road.

Wednesday, May 27

I Peter 2:21 To this end you were called because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that we should follow in his steps.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for giving us an example to guide us through day-by-day living.
Thought for the day: The earliest disciples did not rely upon wristbands or bumper stickers to remind them to ask, “What would Jesus do?”

Thursday, May 28

Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
Prayer: Jesus, may we fill ourselves with your Spirit
Thought for the day: There is no sticker that says you must stop filling your spiritual fuel tank to prevent overflow.

Friday, May 29

Romans 8:14 because those led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Prayer: Jesus, as God’s children we gladly follow the Spirit.
Thought for the day: What would be the outcome if the church did paternity testing?

Saturday, May 30

Acts 16:6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept from the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.
Prayer: Thanks be to God Your word has reached to us.
Thought for the day: It is a miracle of the Spirit that preserved the word of the New Testament through the centuries.
