Communion Meditation — I John 1:7 — God’s Prescription Plan

Communion Meditation – I John 1:7 – Declaring your Prescription

If you had an appointment to see your doctor recently you probably were asked to declare your medications.
I wonder if you declared the most potent prescription available.
Who issued it? God.
When were you to take it? The early church suggested that you take a major dose at the time of your baptism and a weekly dose thereafter.
How should it be taken? Take it with prayer and bread.
Why were you given this prescription? You were suffering from a condition known as sin.
What side effects could you expect? You could undergo a change of character.
What was the common name for the prescription? It was commonly known as the blood of Christ.
Read I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Did you declare the most potent prescription available? Are you on God’s prescription plan?
