Sunday, June 11

Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostle’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostle.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, in reverent obedience we listen to your apostolic word this day, and we observe your Lord’s Supper.

Thought for the day: True maturity confirms the wisdom of our elders.

Monday, June 12

Acts 2: 43, 44 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.

Prayer:  Lord God, we are yet in awe of the miracle of salvation.

Thought for the day: Brotherly love will always be a mystery to the world.

Tuesday, June 13

Acts 2: 45 Selling their possessions and goods they gave to anyone as he had need.

Prayer:  God, thank you for sending and giving your very best for our sakes.

Thought for the day: You won’t find God’s gifts in the dented and out of date department.

Wednesday, June 14

Acts 2: 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.

Prayer:  Lord, we thank you for a heavenly family.

Thought for the day:  Every animal described in the animal shelter advertisement needed a forever home.

Thursday, June 15

Acts 2: 47  praising God and enjoying the favor of tall the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, may we who are being saved be brought safely to the mansions in heaven.

Thought for the day: Being saved like being married requires work.

Friday, June 16

Ezekiel 37: 26, 27 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant.  I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever.  My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Prayer: Lord God, thank you for planning long ago to make a new covenant with us.

Thought for the day: The best architecture is timeless.

Saturday, June 17

Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, who else deserves our everlasting thanks but you.

Thought for the day: An old song says, “It is no secret what God has done.  What he’s done for others he’ll do for you.”
