Luke 23: 66-71
Jesus is brought before the Sanhedrin at dawn to fulfill the requirements for a “legal” trial.
T – R – I – A – L
Turmoil — Through the night Jesus had been shuffled from Ananias to Caiaphas and on to the Sanhedrin.
Regulation — By law Jesus could not be tried during the night nor on the eve of the holy day.
Instigation — Waiting in the wings were false witnesses who were ready to speak against Jesus at the urging of the authorities.
Atonement — Jesus was on trial to atone for the sins of humanity.
Liberation — The prophesy of Daniel foretells that the Son of Man to reign.
